Physics students investigated how centripetal force is related to an object's speed, mass, and radius of the circle. They did this by twirling a rubber stopper around their heads and measuring the force with a spring scale.

Students used scientific methods and experiences to explain observations and solve problems, which is a science program outcome at LMCS.

Students are pictured below taking part in this experiment.

Motion 2Motion 3
Students applied Newton's three laws of motion and learned to differentiate between different types of forces, which are two course outcomes these students are expected to meet.
Motion 4Motion 5
The class was also responsible for describing motion using definitions, graphs, and mathematical equations.
