This required senior year-long course focuses on developing skills in self-reflection and self-selection as students choose from the following semester courses to meet both four-year Language Arts graduation requirements and post-secondary educational needs:
     College Preparatory Composition
     American & World Literature
     Creative Writing
     Computer Applications (may not be accepted as English credit by some colleges - see counselor)
     Film and Fiction

When students have completed four years of Language Arts, they may choose to take these semester classes to fulfill the Communication IV one-year requirement for seniors:
     Computer Science (see description in Business section)
     Individualized Reading/World Issues
     Advanced Placement courses (see description in "Other Curricular Opportunities" section)
     Electives from other disciplines as approved by counselor/principal
