Instructor: Kissinger, Kurt Senior high instrumental music is open to all students interested in furthering their musical/instrumental abilities through small and large group ensemble work. It is a full credit class that meets regularly during the school day. The function of instrumental music is to develop musical standards and encourage sensitive musicianship through the use of quality music balanced by attention to theory, skill development and listening. The concert/marching band is the principle performing group with opportunities in jazz, pep band, and solos and ensembles. The acquired knowledge, skills and attitudes gained will build good citizenship, self-confidence, poise, and a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
