Length of Program: 20 weeks (maximum)

Reading Recovery is an intensive daily one-on-one reading program designed to accelerate the identified lowest reading-ready first grade students to the average of their classroom. The program teams together with the classroom teacher and the home to provide support for the child during the program to reinforce and practice reading strategies on a daily basis. Reading Recovery teachers are intensively trained in Reading Recovery theory and practice and provide individual instruction to each identified student.
