The talented and gifted program in the elementary program is designed to provide services to students who demonstrate exceptional ability or potential in academic and/or intellectual areas and who require educational services and modifications beyond those provided in the regular education program. Programming for these students is based on individual needs for acceleration, differentiated academic opportunities, and enrichment and is documented in the Personalized Education Plan designed for each student. Activities designed to allow gifted learners to compete, such as quiz bowls and the invention fair, are offered. The students are also involved in the trucker buddy program, service projects, independent history and fine arts projects, and technology projects.
