"Only when the heart loves can the intellect do great work."

Third graders take basic skills to new levels through tasks and activities that mirror the real world. Conflict resolution training takes communication skills and puts them into practice solving problems on the playground. A highlight of the year is each student's portrayal of an historical figure; guests and other students uncover each mystery person. Service learning as caretakers of the outdoor classroom teaches science as well as social responsibility.
