"Reading is for all the things you are!"

Each child will read in first grade at his or her own individual rate. The reading/writing connection is enhanced by good literature appropriate to each child's interests. Basic math and other academic skills are taught in natural ways through learning centers and authentic tasks. First grade workers enjoy their jobs and also like their parent's help in learning new and exciting things!
